Project Summary
- APC is a special project in tribal highland regions of Odisha.
- APC aims growth in farm sector, sustainably double the income of small and marginal women farmers in the tribal highland regions of Odisha.
- To establish the model of Agriculture Production Cluster (APC) in some backward blocks of the state, as an effective method to organize production system and services of markets
- APC to double the income of women farmers by collectivizing them in to producer groups and producer companies & linking government convergence.
- Farmers skill development, crop practice, farm mechanization, creating irrigation infrastructures, storage, marketing are also main objectives.
6.1. Major interventions planned for the reporting period (in Brief):
- 1. Cover 1113 smalls and marginal women farmer in Daringbadi blocks of Kandhamal district.
- 2. 1500 women farmers to engage Agri/horticulture actives in 15 producer groups.
- 3. Cultivation of high value vegetables in 1000 acres of land.
- 4. Cover-up existing irrigated agriculture land by using the existing infrastructures and creating new irrigation infrastructures.
- 5. introduce fully Organic cultivation in 50 Acres.
- 6. Provide livestock support to 800 households through proper livestock care and management. Shed support for 50 poultry and goat each and establish a model by following POP.
