South Odisha Initiative programme has been initiated in 40 Primary and 5 High schools of Kotagarh block with the support of Tata Trusts. The main objective of the programme is Creating stimulating learning environment for 2500 plus tribal children in Kotagarh block of South Odisha through contextual pedagogy and innovative teaching and learning practices, Ensuring grade-appropriate learning level in 80% of the children addressed through this initiative in three years, Minimising the dropout rate to no more than 5% before students reach the eighth standard and working with tribal children to promote their self-confidence, develop an aptitude for learning and excellence.
