Kabita Singh from Badangia village faced severe financial hardship before joining Maa Bimala SHG under the SHAKTI Project. After participating in SHG meetings and entrepreneurship training, she took a small internal loan and started a roadside hotel business.
Today, Kabita earns more than Rs. 300 per day and has expanded her business with support from her husband. The family has improved their living conditions, ensured regular education for their children, and become financially more stable.
Kabita now serves as an inspiration for other women in her village. In her words:
“Mu barttaman jekaunasi gharoi asubidha ku manage kariparibi.”
(“Now I can manage any household difficulty confidently.”)
